Today's post is about something we all need, and we all miss when abroad. The access to a plethora of vitamins, minerals, supplements and even drugs (the legal kinds).
No matter which country you travel to, especially if it's in Asia, the availability and quantity of these things isn't so great. Enter "iHerb.com".
iHerb is an online store that has been named the #1 online supplement store by ConsumerLab.com for 3 years running. Their facility is located in Irwindale, California and they stock over 400 well-known health brands, and carry over 20,000 products.
Everything from vitamins, enzymes, bath products, beauty products, fitness supplements, organic foods, cookware, sports supplements, and on and on.
Better yet, they ship to over 180 different countries!
Better yet still, airmail costs $4.00!!!!!!
I have used this site about 5 times now since I discovered it, and the most I've ever paid for shipping was $7.00 for express to South Korea. The package came in about 4-5 days. That's crazy cheap and crazy fast.
Here's a screenshot showing some of the products they carry.
So I highly recommend checking it out if you're in need of any health product overseas and finding a hard time finding it. Could benefit a lot of people.
Also, if it's your first time ordering, use this coupon code to receive $5.00 your first order:

Reclaim Your TV Viewing Abroad
How frustrating is it to not be able to watch your favorite TV shows from back home while abroad? Or, even if you download everything (like me), how frustrating is it when people spill the goods on Facebook before you get a chance to watch that new episode? Or even worse, spill the results of last nights game, or fight outcome? IT SUCKS!

Must Read Books
So being overseas and teaching is great. But the time comes when you start to ponder the question, "How long am I going to be here?", or, "Am I really going to teach English for the rest of my life?"
I recently had these thoughts, and decided that I don't want to teach English for the rest of my life, but how am I going to transition from this already awesome lifestyle of waking up late everyday, partying every weekend, making good money, having someone pay for my apartment, and the list goes on.
The 4-Hour Workweek
Then a family member recommended a book to me, it's not new, but it was new to me, and actually the author has now released a revised and updated edition. It's, "The 4-Hour Workweek" by Timothy Ferriss.
I loved this book it because it reinforced thoughts and ideas I already had in my head, and basically reassured me that I wasn't crazy, that I can continue this lifestyle without the teaching element. It has tons of great case studies, and testimonials of people who have followed the system, and are now living the Expat lifestyle in a new country every few months.
Check it out here, it's dirt cheap, and you can get it in digital format.
The 4-Hour Body
After killing that book in about 3 days, I checked out...
the blog that accompanies the book, and found out he had just released another book entitled, "The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman". Hell of a long title, but there really is a TON of new, unique, sometimes crazy ideas and methods about improving your body.
All the information in the book is backed up by years of personal research and experiments from the author, as well as other scientists and experts from varying fields.
You don't need to read it cover to cover, but you'll end up doing it anyways because the stuff is so interesting.
Favorite sections I must say were:
- How to hold your breath longer than Houdini
- Six-Minute Abs: Two exercises that actually work
- The architecture of Babe Ruth (baseball people you WANT to read this)
- Becoming Uberman: Sleeping less with polyphasic sleep
- and oh yeah.. The 15-minute Female Orgasm
**Additional Info: The author, Timothy Ferriss is obsessed with learning new languages, and as Expats, we are always faced with language barriers, and trying to grasp the language of the country we're in. His blog has some AMAZING posts about how to tackle new languages and become conversationally fluent with 3-12 months, it's amazing.
Enjoy!

Blogging Tools | Part 1
Might as well start the first post off with the most common thing we all do when we decide to leave our home country and venture off into the world, BLOG!
There's tons of reasons why we do it, whether it's so that family can keep an eye out on what we're doing, keeping our friends informed of all the crazy shit w're doing and they're not, or doing it just to keep your own record of all the stuff you do.
There's tons of tools, websites, and add-ons to make it look unique, or one-of-a-kind, and I'm in no way a professional blogger, but I've done a couple in the past, and these are some of the most popular FREE ways to do them:
Blogger.com
Extremely popular amongst personal bloggers due to the ease and functionality of the set-up process. Lots of features and built-in plugins to customize your blog site site anyway you want.
Wordpress.com
One of, if not THE best blogging platform on the web. Tons of features, add-ons, layouts, templates, etc. If you're not using it, you should be.
Weebly.com
Named by Time magazine as one of the best 50 websites, Weebly's simplified layout, and easy to operate interface makes it super popular amongst newbies, as well as pro's who want to throw up a website in a matter of minutes.
Picasa.com
Picasa by Google is a great photo uploading service. You can upload albums, edit your pictures, create slideshows to share, and more. I use it for my other blogs and it's a great way to organize albums for your blogs.
Polldaddy.com
PollDaddy is one of the best services out there for creating simple or extremely in-depth surveys, polls, quizzes, and ratings. It's been featured in PC Magazine, CNN, Wired, and more.
That's all for now, I figure 5 at a time is enough to go through, will continue this post at a later time as I discover more tools to help you blog from wherever you are in the world.
